Karina Giada is a Russian-American watercolor artist currently based in Taiwan. Entirely self-taught, she focuses primarily on watercolor portraits, evoking a sense of victory and freedom in her subjects that demonstrate not only beauty in her characters but also their unbreakable nature. Karina has worked with a number of self-published authors, designer brands, and is currently a freelancer for Penguin Random House.

In her personal work, Karina enjoys exploring mixed media illustrations, which include her beloved impasto gold paintings. Combining minimalism with her intricate designs, Karina molds her two passions to create evocative illustrations. Karina channeled her love for fashion into her highly-detailed illustrations, a passion that grew to include delicate and intricate works focused on mythology and inspired by her travels. Moving every few years has enhanced her love for different cultures and have influenced a great number of her works.
